SM College Scholarship Application for SY 2018-2019 now open

Are you looking for a scholarship that will help you proceed with your tertiary education next year and pursue your dream career? SM Foundation is eager to assist you, as they opened their College Scholarship application for school year 2018-2019.

Started in 1993, SM Foundation scholarship program helps provide education to underprivileged high school graduates by maintaining 500 scholars at any given time.

One of the their scholars was Jessica Aliana Habunal of Iloilo City.

When she was young, Jessica had dreamed of being an accountant someday. She felt then that it would be impossible to reach that dream as her father’s income from farming was barely able to cover their daily expenses.

Ms. Jessica Aliana Habunal achieved her dream of being a CPA, with the help of SM Foundation Scholarship.

Then she found hope in SM Foundation College Scholarship Program which helped her finish her dream course in flying colors.

“Being a scholar was already an inspiration for me to do my best. I always made sure that I got good grades. It was one of the factors that inspired me to graduate as summa cum laude,” Jessica shares proudly.

Today, Jessica is a certified public accountant, working at an Accounting Office in Iloilo City with a great future ahead of her.

a. Public high school graduates in the areas covered:
b. Private high school graduates with DepEd voucher after completing Grade 10 from public schools in the areas covered:
Luzon : NCR, Albay, Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Isabela, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Palawan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Rizal, Tarlac, Zambales
Visayas : Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negros Occidental
Mindanao : Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotobato, Zamboanga del Sur
c. Fourth year or Gr. 12 weighted average grade of at least 88% in the second or third grading period.
d. Total household income of at most P150,000 per year
